Welcome! You've stumbled upon the page of an almost-nineteen year old that's currently undergoing one of her "Who Am I? What Am I Doing Here?" phases. She also happens to have a huge love for words, bright pictures and music, and constantly craves sweet, iced tea drinks. Buy her a cuppa, perhaps?

Nostalgia 101 :).

edit: oh yeah. i already settled assignment topic matters with my lecturer, who was surprisingly lenient and agreed to a topic change. YAY! thanks for offering to help, though, you guys are the greatest. :D

today was one of those days where i just wished every day would be days like this :D. i wonder if that made any sense, but um, yeah :D

nowadays all i look forward to on Wednesdays and Thursdays is American Idol, and today's episode RULED, except for the fact that i wanted to smack Randy and Simon and Paula was sort of on crack. i won't go into detail, for fear of getting my ass kicked by Archuleta fans, but i stand firm with my opinion that Syesha Mercado deserves to stay, and Archuleta deserves to go because he's so booooooooriiiiiiing on stage.

after lunch, Jason, Fleur and i headed over to the Media Hub, but there were no computers free, so surprise, surprise, we camwhored with the aid of Julia, who took most of our pictures for us. thanks Jules.

and Zheng Joo, you should've been in these pictures. *sigh*

i was stoned. on brownies and buttermilk chicken rice :D

what/who is it? you decide.

HAHAHAHAHAHA i fell about laughing when i was viewing these pictures once they were uploaded. :P

i ruin pictures :D omg i love Fleur's red sunnies.

HAHAHAAHA

HAHA look at Jason :P

*pulls fish face*

after that Fleur had to go for netball practice and Jason had work. i stayed around chatting with Wan and Daniel before both of them had to rush off to class. mom came to pick me up at two-ish.

and in the car with nothing to do, what do you do when you have a camera with you? :D

i personally like this pic of me :D it makes me look emo.

HELP..

so i just found out that i practically dug my own grave, and i'm going to bury myself any time now.

okay, see, that day, Mr. Anubhav was like all "Choose a topic for your 'mini-Survey' (in inverted commas because it isn't mini at all) now, you can't change it once you've written it down."

the rebel in me decided to pick a topic i was sure no one would ever do because it required a tad bit of research : e-health.

but i didn't realize it would require EXTENSIVE research. as in reading books, websites, whatever (hell, i'd be lucky to find shit about e-health), not something that i can pull out of thin air.

i thought e-health was about the aftereffects of using computers and everything, but noooo, e-health apparently means 'an emerging field in the intersection of medical informatics, public health and business, referring to health services and information delivered or enhanced through the Internet and related technologies. In a broader sense, the term characterizes not only a technical development, but also a state-of-mind, a way of thinking, an attitude, and a commitment for networked, global thinking, to improve health care locally, regionally, and worldwide by using information and communication technology.'

before i die trying to complete a 2000 word essay, mom, can you make sure that Wilson doesn't eat that last chocolate donut? thanks.

The Pink Thing.

whew. after months and months of preparations, meetings, publicity and running around meeting and searching for sponsors, The Pink Thing was finally held last Friday.

the night itself was quite a success, although everything kicked off a bit late, due to Malaysian mentality. when will people ever learn to come on time?

im lazy to talk about it in detail, so let the pictures do the talking, shall we?

#1 crew tags i did for hardworking student council members who helped out during the event! however, i did go a little overboard and i gave a few tags away to non-student council members like Miss.T and Mr. Suresh. the latter, however, is excusable, because he didn't have anything pink on him at all, except this flimsy little girly watch he had on his left wrist -_- to which i went "YOU CALL THAT PINK?"

#2 fries, nuggets, sausages and drinks that we sold for fundraising. it went pretty well, except the drinks didn't really sell that well.

#3 Stephanie, Dionne, and other student council members stringing together balloons to be hung up. balloons kept bursting periodically, so they kept having to blow extra balloons up to replace those that popped.

an hour before this picture was taken, me and Florence were running around Carrefour and Subang Parade searching for balloons and raffia string. it was CRAZY. at one point, our feet were so tired that Florence resorted to taking off her heels and walking barefoot around Subang Parade. respect.

we finally found them balloons in Toys 'R' Us (the only place which had balloons -_- so bloody hopeless) for a ridiculous amount of money.

#4 the Ed Hardy booth set up by the people from Culture Couture. um, i don't think they made much profit. i did like their Myspace Celebrity t-shirt but unfortunately it was pretty expensive.

#5 the banner! i painstakingly cut out the words one by one and stuck them onto the banner with double-sided tape. faster say it's pretty if not i'll be sad :(

i tell you, Mr. Murali and Mr. Suresh HAVE to clean their stupid office.

after i was done sticking the words and the sponsors' logos on the banner, i began gathering up the discarded double-sided tape paper, which was in piles all over the place. so i was grabbing at them in fists, AND THEN after i grabbed at this particular pile and lifted the tape up, THERE WAS A DEAD COCKROACH UNDERNEATH IT.

wtf right. i screamed, because omg lah the legs were sticking up and the body was sort of flattened and I TOUCHED IT OMG WTF *screams just thinking of it*.

"MR SURESHHHHH!!" i had whined. "CLEAN YOUR OFFICE PLEASE! LOOK WHAT I FOUND OMG OMG *freaks out* I ACCIDENTALLY TOUCHED IT OK!"

and the man just sat there in his stupid chair and laughed at me -_-

ergh. i'm getting the creepy crawlies again.

#6 meet Danny Dickson the Devil. he was created out of a heart-shaped balloon which Jason blew, and i drew on the face, belly button and tail with permanent marker :D

Jason christened him. i personally think Dickson is a pretty... flamboyant name.

#7 this is Syaf. doesn't he look like Danny?

#8 Danny and I. yes lah i was trying to act cute. fail.

#9 Rae with Danny, taken while i was sitting down in a chair. you can see a bit of Debs too :)

#10 the pile of heart-shaped balloons painstakingly blown up by G and Atikah and some of the others. they weren't easy to blow. Alice took like five minutes just attempting to blow one up.

#11 Danny sitting on the pile of heart-shaped balloons. this photo was taken amid many squeals of "aaa so cute!" because Rae and I couldn't resist. :P it really was cute.

#12 the devil's maker and Rae.

#13 another close-up shot of Danny.

#14 Syaf, Fleur, Jason and I :D

#15 me and Fleur. hahah we're nuts over Danny.

#16 devil in Jason's pocket! so cute can die.

#17 jason put a piece of broken pink balloon on Danny's head and TADA! you get Daniella Dickson :D

#18 me being a camwhore. :P i like this picture somehow, although my expression is .. um. weird.

#19 chiffon cloth tied on the pillar with red heart balloons attached! gorgeous, don't you think :)

#20 the balloons finally strung up :D

#21 flower petals! gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous. if only we had glitter like we had the last time.

#22 me and Florence, after we'd changed into our party clothes :D i love this shot too, Flo!

#23 ZJ!!! she came over and helped us through the night. i gave her a crew sticker, which was absolutely necessary :D

#24 student council members. ZJ, Jason, Stephanie, Florence and i.

#25 i love this picture! damn emo like :D

#26 Atiqah pinning an orchid on Mr. Suresh's shirt pocket. he later took the orchid and placed it above his ear -_- and then he took it off when the event started. ceh. tak sporting pun.

#27 tealight candles around the otherwise boring potted plant in the pond.

#28 Syaf, our candle-lighter. thanks Syaf :)

#29 role call! TCHT student council members on the left, TCPJ (psst, we're cooler) members on the right ;)

#30 Ken, Lish, Miss.T, Amir, Zheng Joo and I. :)

#31 Random Ramblings. after their first song, their bassist dropped his pants to reveal pink boxers and their lead singer tore off his shirt where he was wearing a bright pink girls' camisole underneath. i have no comments.

#32 MunSuet and i. :)

the only thing i regret about that night is that i went home early and missed the dance floor and photo ops with the bands! :( sad lah.

what do you do when you have a curfew. *sigh*

Happy Birthday Wei Hong.

Today was a whirlwind of sorts, running up and down, arguments in class (don't worry, the legit, teacher-approved kind) that gave me this huge headache, falling asleep by accident... running to Mr. Murali's office and down again...

All-in-all i'm pretty happy that the banner is done with, and now come the tags that I shall happily do while watching Idol tonight.

(I'm supposed to be watching it now but my mother and my brother are hogging the TV, watching some Hokkien drama with an overused plot. Psh.)

Oh. Yeah.

Coming back to the point of this post -

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WONG WEI HONG!
Pretty darn old picture, because i've only got this picture in my Friendster. All my old pictures died with my old CPU :(

Damn, we look so different. Funny how so much can change in a year.

Anyway, bro, you're twenty. Go out there and party hard tonight ;)

An update. Because hell knows this blog needs one..

"Why are you so quiet this semester?"

People seem to ask me this question a lot over the past few weeks.

It's odd, really. I don't really think i'm different. Am I?

Well, maybe it's because of my lack of sleep due to my nocturnal activities *coughdoingassignmentscough* that causes me to behave all zombie-like during the day (my mom can attest to this).

*shrugs*

Whatever it is, i'm still the same 'ol me.

Redang on 3rd of May

I CAN'T FREAKIN' WAIT!!!!!!!

Ever since Langkawi, i've been longing for another beach holiday. Sand, sun, surf and booze. Who can resist it?

Never mind that I will have two assignments on my back after that during the holidays. Redang comes first, assignments after. :D

I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait!

(minus the part where we go snorkeling, because i'd get freaked out when i come face-to-face with a fish.)

Yeah. I'm afraid of live fish.

You can stop laughing now.

The Click Five Modern Minds and Great Times World Tour 2007

Gonna be going up to Genting with half of the Click Clique (what is this? that's a very good question, and you're not going to know the answer *grins*) on the 7th of June to rock out to The Click Five.

We're gonna wave Radley posters at Ben and yell "Bethan" in Ethan's face, not to mention trying to stalk 'em at night.

SO FUN!

Blogging

Sorry I haven't been blogging as often lately, and when I do, my posts usually consist of a picture and a caption.

Blame it all on the assignments my lecturers are piling on us. 1000 word essays, presentations, two-page critique essays, you name it, we've got it. When i've been doing so much writing for university, it kind of puts off writing on my blog. Today just so happens to be one of those days where I have had adequate amounts of R&R.

I owe you guys picture posts of the Switchfoot concert (which was eons ago, i'm sorry), Langkawi and Colbie Caillat.

Guh so many things to do, so little time.

For now, I have to finish the crew tags for The Pink Thing. Made some last night, and they look - well I think they look awesome, but i'll let you be the judge on the day itself!

REMEMBER. BE THERE ON FRIDAY. OR ELSE. ;D

The Pink Thing.

Yep. It's next week, and all organized (well not entirely, but yeah. the paving stones are already laid).

Wear pink y'all, and get your party on, because it's all for a good cause!

**There will be booths selling items by Culture Couture and Sushi King before the event starts (during the day), so fill those wallets up :D

Oh, and don't expect too many blogposts from me this week - i'm busy as hell.

self reminder:
the pink thing crew tags - fluorescent sticker paper, marker
slash piece
love at first site - chapter three
