Welcome! You've stumbled upon the page of an almost-nineteen year old that's currently undergoing one of her "Who Am I? What Am I Doing Here?" phases. She also happens to have a huge love for words, bright pictures and music, and constantly craves sweet, iced tea drinks. Buy her a cuppa, perhaps?

stop this train and bring back the memories.

27th July 2009: Flo and i helping Geoffrey shoe-shop in Al-Ikhsan, Sunway Pyramid. we had sushi with Jason before hitting the shops-- it was just like old times. we should have more lunches with even awesomer one liners from Geoffrey in the future <3

the fangirl in me needs a break..

i was going to write this whole long ass post about the MTV Asia Awards and the part where we stayed up like twenty four ridiculous hours just waiting about for celebrities to pop out of nowhere (ie. we sat around trying to stalk celebs in the lobby), but then it's now like 1.33 AM and my eyes feel as if they're going to pop out of their sockets and start rolling around on the parquet floor, so nghh no long post on the MAAs for you, not-so-sorry :D.

i will, however, give you pictures! how about that? yes? no?

due to all the jumping/singing/flailing around during the actual awards show, my hair stuck to my forehead in a sweaty tangled clump and I WASN'T AWARE OF IT THEN so of course, i look like shit in the photos but strangely i don't give a fuck. (okay maybe i do. just a little. a little.)

me and Spencer's drumstick that LeeYee got when the MAAs ended and stuff. you can't see it but my tongue is a funky shade of green! thank you, green tea frappucino. thank you.

Andrea (the one in black) and her buddies, a tipsy Greg Uttsada Panichkul (whom i have waited YEARS just to meet, thank you so very much), Melissa, me and Taya! even though tipsy due to all the partying and alcohol consumed during the post party (that we couldn't get access to), Utt was ever so sweet, and went "get some rest after this, okay? it's late. get some rest!" to us when the picture was over :D :D :D :D

and Taya is gorgeous in real life (*squelches stab of jealousy*), and really, really really really nice, even though her on-screen voice annoys me to no end.

a semidrunk Joey Zehr. i was like "one big group picture?" and he was like "sure, that'd be awesome, one big group picture, yeah 8D".

handddd arttt in Theodore green (thank you, LeeYee!). somebody turned off the auto focus on my camera so i had to do it myself.

my Pretty. Odd. CD that Ryan Ross and Jon Walker of Panic at the Disco signed :D their signatures are faded now due to all the unintentional moshing during the concert (the cd cover basically had sex with the inside of my pink Nike slingbag wtf), so i am doing all i can to protect what's left of them.

aaaaaaand last but not leastttt

Claire, Jon Walker and i!!!!!!! i can die happy now.

this man is bloody witty. i'd love to have a conversation with him one day.

he wrapped an arm around my shoulder and then this woman from Warner who was with him whom we call 'Yong Ah Beng' (it's a long story, but lets just say that we come across this certain woman a lot) was all, "LAST PICTURE" so Melissa told Claire to get into the picture. Jon waited patiently and then wrapped an arm around Claire's shoulder too. aofgjoafgaoddf :DD such a sweetie, i tell you.

it only was 2938749239 times more awesome that we were going to see him again on Tuesday in concert, and LeeYee and i tried to tell him that we were, but he wasn't listening (he was busy having another photograph taken).

i think he did recognize us, though, on Tuesday.

and now, i think that deserves to be in another blogpost by itself, no?

until then, ciao, lovelies.

first look through the lens.

hello Nikon D60.

am very happy with it at the moment. Dad's an old Nikon user, so he's slowly giving me advice and tips on how to use my new baby, though he doesn't know a thing about adjusting shutter speeds and aperture, since they didn't have digital cameras back when he had his Nikon.

he has a box of old lenses hidden away somewhere in an old cupboard, and a tripod too, so we're going to drag them out and see if i can use them one of these days.

as you can see from the pretty shitty photo above, i'm still new at photography with dSLRs, but i'm slowly going to learn!

here are a few first pictures:

Summertime.

on the boardwalk, working two shifts
savin' for that diamond ring, then i'll quit
all the cool kids
hanging south pier
guess i'll have it figured out
by next year

summertime summertime,
you do it to me everytime, summertime,
you do it to me
oh oh oh ohhh;
i'm restless
oh oh oh ohhh;
defenseless;
i can feel it
baby is it real or is it just a sign?
it's summertime

I'm awake, but my world is half-asleep.

i'm not in the mood to really write lately.
i'm even lazy to write full blogposts or even full, coherent sentences like i used to do so long ago. :(

idol has finished, Cookie won, YAY. lots of flyboy slash to read/write, lots of books to be read, lots of presentations to prepare and assignments to do...

... you can sort of tell that i'm not in the mood, can't you?

*shrugs and skips to pictures*

i swear i'm happiest in dressing rooms. :)

twloha week.

i sort of forgot about it this morning and then i hastily drew this on in CCS class while we were *supposed* to be concentrating on this boring movie that Mr.Anubhav was playing.

"this has to be the nerdiest movie ever," i declared dryly, working on the letter O on my arm.

apparently Mr. Anubhav heard what i said and looked at me.

oops :P

and -- oh yeah. did i ever mention that Michael Johns and David Cook are the sexiest men alive right now?

i can't seem to stop listening to Michael Johns' "It's All Wrong But It's All Right"

it rings in my ears when i'm in class, when i'm daydreaming, when i'm staring out the window, it sends shivers down my spine whenever i listen to it on my iPod.

dammit.

it's so wrong, yet it's so right. ♥

inaudible melodies.

thanks for all the feedback about me wanting to post my fic. i'm afraid it isn't anything new to you boardies who've already read this on the boards, but for the others who haven't, here's chapter one! i hope you like it. or read it, at least. and tell me if you like it or not.

( Chapter One )

i'm pretty much very very very busy at this point.

our "holidays" are going to come to an end soon, and soon i'll have to wake up every morning at six again and drag myself out of bed for university. more running all over the place to complete our assignments, more dozing off in class, more lectures, more presentations, more everything. it's not going to feel any different because the holidays don't feel like holidays at all, what with assignments being thrown at us left and right. in fact, we just submitted one this Sunday.

yeah. that's right. Sunday bloody Sunday.

yesterday night i was really bored, holed up in my room, so i went crazy with my camera and snapped stuff that i thought looked nice.

my skinny rocker ties i bought at that little sale in college! they were selling them RM10 for two, so i picked out the black one and the striped one with a little help from Florence.

it's going to be pretty hard to wear them, though, because if not worn right, you're thiiiiis close to looking "lala", and i would DIE before even thinking of looking like one.

if you get my drift.

MY CDs! ok, so i co-own one with Wilson.

but the rest are mine. all mine. my Colbie Caillat one is in the car, and my Panic box set is safely tucked in my cupboard, so it's not technically all my CDs. you can basically tell that these bands are all my favorites :P

my happy pile of magazines at the bottom shelf. been collecting and reading em since two years ago, i believe. i'm going to tear em up soon and scan 'em in my computer to make stocks. :)

and lastly, thats me in the Forever-21 top that i wanted to buy :(

Nostalgia 101 :).

edit: oh yeah. i already settled assignment topic matters with my lecturer, who was surprisingly lenient and agreed to a topic change. YAY! thanks for offering to help, though, you guys are the greatest. :D

today was one of those days where i just wished every day would be days like this :D. i wonder if that made any sense, but um, yeah :D

nowadays all i look forward to on Wednesdays and Thursdays is American Idol, and today's episode RULED, except for the fact that i wanted to smack Randy and Simon and Paula was sort of on crack. i won't go into detail, for fear of getting my ass kicked by Archuleta fans, but i stand firm with my opinion that Syesha Mercado deserves to stay, and Archuleta deserves to go because he's so booooooooriiiiiiing on stage.

after lunch, Jason, Fleur and i headed over to the Media Hub, but there were no computers free, so surprise, surprise, we camwhored with the aid of Julia, who took most of our pictures for us. thanks Jules.

and Zheng Joo, you should've been in these pictures. *sigh*

i was stoned. on brownies and buttermilk chicken rice :D

what/who is it? you decide.

HAHAHAHAHAHA i fell about laughing when i was viewing these pictures once they were uploaded. :P

i ruin pictures :D omg i love Fleur's red sunnies.

HAHAHAAHA

HAHA look at Jason :P

*pulls fish face*

after that Fleur had to go for netball practice and Jason had work. i stayed around chatting with Wan and Daniel before both of them had to rush off to class. mom came to pick me up at two-ish.

and in the car with nothing to do, what do you do when you have a camera with you? :D

i personally like this pic of me :D it makes me look emo.

Fondue.

Just last Wednesday, I went out shopping in Sunway Pyramid - well, window shopping on my part, with Kai Sin, Andrew and Zong Sheng.

After several hours of walking around from floor to floor, our feet hurt, so we decided to stop and have some dessert at Haagen Dazs.

Oh yeah. I still owe Andrew thirty bucks. *headdesks* I forgot.

And our dessert of choice?

Haagen Dazs chocolate fondue.

Priced at about fifty bucks, according to the description on the menu, it boasts fourteen scoops of ice cream, nuts, fruits, cookies and tidbits, all surrounding a pot full of hot chocolate.

Pot full of chocolate. Pshhht. Riiiiight. More like, a pot less-than-half-full of chocolate.

That aside, it was scrumptious, though it wasn't enough for four people.

Butter cake, nuts and bananas.

Tiny scoops of ice cream we could dip into the chocolate. Strawberry, Chocolate, Macadamia and Coffee. Yum.

KaiSin and I digging in.

Hungry?

Nobody sang along to James Blunt.

I love concerts.

I've loved them ever since my first one - Simple Plan in 2004. Man, that day's still as clear as ever to me as if it were yesterday. I wonder if I even still have the ticket stub with me.

I love it when the crowd sings along together and layans the singer. At the Simple Plan concert, everyone was rocking out together to the music, singing along at the same time. It's a super good feeling.

My mom calls me nuts for actually wanting to go to concerts that she said will cause "stampedes". It's not like we're a bunch of elephants or anything, but yeah. Damn pointless right, going to a concert like Linkin Park's and then sitting down and watching Chester scream his lungs out to a quiet audience. Then again, she thinks all musicians and actors have AIDS and take drugs. Stereotyping, much?

Convo we had over dinner:

Me: Man, the journey from the US to Asia takes about like what, 15 hours +? I can only imagine what the guys from The Click Five have gone through. Some more once they get off the plane, they have to do press conferences, meet and greets and shows straight away.

Mom: They eat drugs. That's why it keeps them awake.

I nearly spit out the broccoli that was in my mouth.

Me: They don't take drugs lah!

Mom: How you know? These kind of people ah..
Me: MOM! They're so innocent there isn't even a swear word in any of their songs, ok!

Mom: You swear more than them lah.

Man. The Click Five on drugs. Ha. Do any of them look like Pete Doherty to you?

Anyway *rolls eyes*

The pictures! :)

***

The jam on the way to KL - green light, and yet no one's moving. Typical Malaysian KL roads in the evening.

We finally got there after about quite some while and lined up to get ourselves in.

The crowd at 7.28 PM
(wtf small kids wtf)

Free complimentary drinks that we didn't take... :(

After a while, Joey G came on as the emcee of the night to get the crowd hyped up and ready for the concert. The usual "scream as loud as you can" stuff.

Damn funny lah, Malaysian girls.

It's like our country is so deprived of white people that even someone like Joey. G (if you've been hiding under your bed for the past two or three years or so, Joey's a Channel V VJ) can cause the crowd full of girls to go "OH MY GOD! IT'S JOEY! JOEY G!!!!!!" *girls start screaming*

I mean he's KINDA hot - boleh tahan lah - and all, and his accent isn't really as annoying as Paula whatsername's, but still, IT'S JOEY G LAH OMG WTF, NOT BRAD PITT OR SOMETHING!!!!?!?!?!

You cannot imagine how many times me, Joan and Terence rolled our eyes and went "Oh my God lah it's just Joey G wtf!!!"

They even screamed at the not-even-close-to-good-looking soundcheck guy for the Click Five who went on stage to tune Joe's and Ethan's guitars. Omg smack me pls. Unknown white guy also wanna scream.

The microphone.

Was kind of trigger happy while waiting for the boys to come on.

The crowd got bigger and bigger and eventually at 8.20 PM.... nah.

By the end of the show, half of these people were either squished/trampled on. Ha.

Me, Pounds and Joan :)

I was so freaking excited that I rubbed my eye and all my eyeliner smudged wtf and it made me look like I hadn't slept in 234235253 years - given, it's my normal look, but it made it look ten times worse okay!!!!!!!!!!

Joey G back again to give us posters (HE DIDN'T THROW ONE IN OUR DIRECTION ALSO!!! PFFT BOO JOEY I HATE YOU!) and tell us that The Click Five were finally coming.

Note the row of boys sitting behind him. All of them TIDAK LAYAN the band when they came on and they sat there just looking bored. I swear the fat one on the right YAWNED like a million times okay?!

WTF HOW FAIR IS THIS I TELL YOU!!!!!111

WE LAYANED. WE COULDN'T EVEN FREAKING SEE PROPERLY. AND WE GET SUCKY PLACES. *rants nonstop*

And so, the boys came on to millions of screams.

JOE ACTUALLY SMILED.

And I actually took a picture of him smiling. HA!

He looks kind of good with this smile :)

Joe again, and Ethan in front of him, if you look properly.

I swear, I have 24235235234523435 pictures of Joe. I have the most pictures of him for the night.

BEN!

Who was closest to us and winked at us!! 111 Okay, he was being a camera whore, but still!!!!

*dies

I think I love Ben more than Ethan now. HAHA

Flashes of light.

My camera sucks balls.

Picture quality will slowly deteriorate from this point.

Kyle and Joe.

A very sweaty Joey after a few songs and Ben again :)

Joey, but he was looking away.

God, Zheng Joo, I swear, I tried my hardest to take a picture of Joey. I couldn't even see him. All my pictures of Joey look great on camera but they suck on the computer. Oh well. :(

I swear, next time we go together ok!! Must perfect the art of taking pictures of Joey (and Kyle. and Ben. :D) I've enough pictures of Joe to last me a lifetime.

I think this was during "Long Way To Go" or so.

Joe and Kyle headbanging while Kyle does one of his cute rabbit hops!! Damn cute.

Joe and Kyle again...

Joey. And Joe.

Because Joey's the drummer, he keeps nodding his head - and he smiles all the freaking time!! Damn freaking adorkable. We stood on booth chairs for a short while until a waiter asked us to step down because he was reserving it for this one malay girl wtf. Racist much?

Joey again - with closed eyes this time. And Joe.

Joey and Joe again...

Joey and Joe again.. Joe this time looking STRAIGHT AT MY CAMERA!! :D

I like the way his hair looks in this pic.

Ben and Joey.

Kyle bowing after a song.

He was awesome. He sang Just The Girl and Catch Your Wave! He sounded awesome, and he gave the songs a more mature feel with his deeper voice.

I so love the idea that the identical "monkey-suits" or so Ben calls them, are out of the window. Each of them have an own personal style, and yet, they still somewhat look alike.

The guy with the camera you see behind Kyle in the above picture is the official photographer for the KL gig. His pictures are awesome. Let me show them to you.

Here's Ethan. Gosh, I love his blouse.

Kyle having fun. ;)

NO FAIR! :(

Kyle asking us all to go "YEAH!" and "HEY OH!" :D

Kyle and Ethan. I probably have the least shots of Ethan. He was looking ever so awesome in lime green blouse and suit.

Kyle had a slight mishap with his guitar - he broke three strings on them, and he had to change his guitar to his legendary white one :)

My camera sucks. Repeat after me.

Kyle - who was really very hot and sweaty after this point.

"SAY YEAH!"

A very blur picture of Kyle.

Joey's smiling in this picture, if you squint. I think Kyle was introducing Ben on the keyboards :)

Joe and Kyle facing each other while playing an extension bridge to Headlight Disco :)

I got tired of jumping after a while and then I took this photo :P Kyle was in the middle of doing one of his adorable "kangaroo hops".

Joe ... having way too much fun.

Ethan and a sweaty Joe!

Joey concentrating on the song.

Kyle hopped up on one of the amps and started playing like crazy. When he was done, he leaped back onto the stage like a true rockstar.

The End. :(

MY ATTEMPT TO TAKE GOOD PICTURES : FAIL.

Only 5 good pictures out of so many. *sighs*

I made some icons Of the boys -

Nonetheless, I enjoyed Myself. I would die to reexperience that again.
