Naruto. I don't get why everybody likes it so much. Seeeeeeeeriously. The drawing sucks and it goes on forever. I don't watch any animes any more, anyway.

Flashers.

Yesterday was a whirlwind of sorts.

We hung out at Terence's, sang in Chipmunk tones to Maroon 5's Wont Go Home Without You about three times, laughed at this little shop's ridiculous name (Kedai Runcit Fook Fak), got stuck in an equally ridiculous jam for thirty minutes, and then we finally made it to Neway for some karaoke.

And then when we were getting into the car -

We are broken..

On a much lighter note, I went shopping with Huai (and Terence) today, and we bought identical shirts from Zara. And i've got my concert tix!!!! I spent the rest of the day laughing my head off at Simple Plan videos. David is absolutely hilarious.

I .. am shocked.

Completely. And utterly. Shocked.

Heath Ledger was found dead in his apartment yesterday.

I'm at a loss for words.

This is unreal.

Please tell me it's a nightmare, and when I pinch myself, i'll wake up.

Accomplishment.

I haven't designed something in a while, partially due to RO, writing, forums and stuff - and I procrastinate a lot. So today I designed a header for me and Viv's joint slash website for all our Click Five slash needs - since the majority of Click Five fans are teenies who get angry at even the thought of Ben and Ethan liking each other. *gasp*

SO STOKED..

I am so fucking stoked about Simple Plan that it's not even funny.

Heck, I think I want to see Simple Plan MORE than The Click Five. Go on, little mortal teenies. Call me crazy, but YEP, THERE IS a band that is WAY BETTER than The Click Five, whether you like it or not. Ha. Take that.

Never mind that I don't own any Simple Plan CDs - I tried to get them, but there's not even a Simple Plan CD to be found in any CD shops in Mid Valley, even Speedy, how strange is that? - i'm a huuuuuuge fan. A huge, huge, huge, huge, huge, huuuuge fan. Thanks to LeeYee who ripped an awesome 30 minute long video off YouTube for me a couple weeks ago, i've been replaying the video over and over and over and over again, and i'm in total fangirly bliss. They are SO AWESOME live.

And you have NO IDEA how stoked I am for them to be coming here. Someone (I think Kien) told me awhile ago that they were passing out fliers that said SP were coming to KL during the MCR concert not too long ago. And Monica said they told her that they were. SO YAY!!

*does a happy dance*

If I don't get tix for said gig in KL, I will DIE, I tell you, DIE. I MUST go to the SP gig, even if it means sneaking in.

Ryan Cabrera.

The last time I heard/read anything about Ryan Cabrera, he was dating the daughter of Elvis Presley and he looked as if he'd gained 239784923749234 pounds. He still had his trademark mess of blond spiky hair.

WTF RYAN?! WHAT IN THE WORLD FUCKING HAPPENED TO YOU?!

And instead of his croony voice that I love so much in songs like True and 40 Kinds Of Sadness, he tries to create weird music that sounds like a mix between country and hillbilly music.

Bandwhoring.

Been spending the afternoon trolling (and ripping) new music from MySpace.... (but you didn't need to know that). There are SO many good bands out there that don't have much international publicity.

SO HERE I AM, PUBLICIZING THEM!

1) Mercy Mercedes
They're AWESOME. They're an up-and-coming band, and they're releasing their first EP called Casio Rodeo soon.

They're a mix of power pop, pop rock and rock - I don't know, really, but their song A Perfect Scene has been on repeat on my iTunes ever since I found it. It's addictive.

2) TV/TV
Unusual band name, huh?

Yeah. Hailing from New York, this band just released their album on iTunes for sale on the first day of this year. (No guesses how long it'll take for the album to be leaked, though so twiddle your thumbs and keep waiting...)

They're again, a mix of upbeat power pop and rock, and at first their sound will remind you of Maroon Five but they're NOTHING like them the deeper you listen.

3) Farewell

Don't get fooled by all the cute monsters adorning their page.

Hanging out in Greensboro, North Carolina, in a music scene saturated by hardcore and screamo, the six members of Farewell felt compelled to do something different. The awakening.

If you heard a bunch of kids screaming 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 and then going YAAAAAAAM SENGGG in a traditional chinese drinking cheer at the strike of midnight near a housing area in PJ, that was us.

Hasta la vista, 2007..

1. What did you do in 2007 that you’d never done before?
Visit a place that i've never visited before, go to a dance, drink wine, go to college, wear contacts, and a billion other things that i'm too lazy to remember.

2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I never really make any. I just go with the flow, really. As someone once sang (if i'm not mistaken, it was Julie whatsername in The Sound Of Music), "What will be will be."

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yes, my cousin Khing. I haven't seen her or her baby yet since the delivery, but i'm sure both of them are fine.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
No, thank God.

5. What countries did you visit?
Singapore, early in the year, and a few others that I can't really remember. Maybe it's all that wine....

6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
Better writing and designing skills. A healthier and skinnier physique. More money ;). A DSLR camera. TO ACTUALLY MEET THE CLICK FIVE. And Panic!. And Simple Plan. More concerts, more hoodies, and most importantly, to learn how to love.

7. What dates from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
The few minutes before it struck midnight today. We were running up and down the stairs in Terence's house, waiting for midnight. And we shouted as loud as we could on the balcony overlooking most of PJ, probably and hopefully waking most of Terence's neighbours. The day I entered college. The first of January, which was spent in Singapore with my cousins, running around in hotel slippers and wishing random people a Happy New Year. 7th (or was it 8th) of November. The Click Five concert. Oh, and the day Ben came into the chatroom, of course ;)

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Actually entering college. And that's about it.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Missing FIVE whole concerts. Muse, Good Charlotte, My Chemical Romance, Gwen Stefani and the Black Eyed Peas. Dammit.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Well I don't really get sick. Or injure myself, so i'm good.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
Well, my iPod?

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Uh. I don't know?! Can't really think now, thanks to the alcohol.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Ugh. The behavior of many. But i'm over it now. It's a new year. Time for new beginnings.

14. Where did most of your money go?
Clothes. Sneakers. Books. The usual.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
The Click Five concert. I was seriously stoked. And then I was let down.

16. What song will always remind you of 2007?
Umbrella - Rihanna
It's practically the song of 2007.

a) I'm okay, really. Hovering somewhere in the middle.
b) Fatter.
c) I don't really have a steady income.

18. What do you wish you’d done more of?
Go to more concerts. Exercise.

Moping. And feeling sorry for myself.

20. How did you spend Christmas?
Playing some Guitar Hero on the Nintendo Wii, then driving around SS2 with the windows open with WenLiang maniacally shouting "STOP AND STARE" (due to One Republic) to any random passing stranger. Oh, and having some bubble tea and soggy fries in Yippee Cup.

21. Did you fall in love in 2007?
Yeah. In and out of it.

22. What was your favorite TV program?
So far, it's Project Runway.

23. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
I wish I didn't but I'm sad to say I do.

24. What was the best book you read?
I don't know. Maybe the Mediator series by Meg Cabot?

25. What was your greatest musical discovery?
The Click Five. No wait, Melee. I don't know. I've had many musical discove- OH. I KNOW. Paramore.

So many things. I love you guys.

A DSLR. To learn how to love. To meet the Click Five. Oh, so many regrets.

I was seventeen. (I still am now) And I went to One Utama.

Completing college. ON TO UNIVERSITY!

Hopelessly disappointing. I'm pretty much still a t-shirt and jeans girl at heart.

Cristiano Ronaldo. For the most part of the year ;)

Oh gosh. There are so many that irk me that it's really hard to care any more.

Lynette. I still miss her.
