whenever an assignment is around the corner, it's like a life-and-death situation for me and most of my classmates. it's hilarious how everyone has self-harm messages along the lines of "ASSIGNMENT: KILL ME PLEASE" on their MSN personal messages. yours truly included.

it doesn't help when you're stuck with nothing to write at 5am in the morning when your assignment's due in five hours and it costs you a whole fifty percent chunk out of your course grade. i've had enough of those moments -- i'm slowly trying not to waste my time and start my work early, then go full speed ahead. hopefully, this will work (because it never has before ><)

i've already got five sources down pat, another five to go! i will get through tonight. and Friday. i will. i will.

i just got back from university. thank god. Wednesdays drain the life out of me - four hours of lectures in the morning, two hours break that doesn't usually turn out as a break in the end (meetings, last-minute mugging for tests, etc) and then two hours of MLit tutorials that's usually the final straw for me.

we had our Assignment 1/test today. it wasn't so bad, but then again, it wasn't so good either. i'm just glad that it's over!

now, i just have to do up those posters for the Carnivale, and then pull an all-nighter for another Reporting For Print assignment.

i hate this part of the semester, i hate it i hate it i hate it.

assignments, quizzes, presentations and summaries are being flung at us left right and center, barely giving us space to breathe. just when i thought i've finished this major essay and i can have a good night's sleep, a new one springs up like mushrooms after rain.

jfc i can't take it any more.

last night, i was talking to Foxit about how awesome would it be if we could only skip these years of university and go on to our dream jobs without having to go through all the hassle. he agreed. lol the pair of us lazies.

sigh. it would be awesome, though, just imagine :(


after last night (i barely got any sleep, mind you), i know one thing's for sure: i have come to hate Issues In Publication and Design with every single bone in my body. it's possibly even more retarded than the CCS subject we did last sem. okay, maybe not, but it comes close.

once we were done with class (and a moody Miss. Usha), we headed up to the roof to shoot some full-body shots of Jason and Florence for the carnivale posters.

i still suck at photography - i'm not getting any better, but hey, everyone has to begin somewhere. my brother thinks that one can just take excellent shots just like that and calls me lousy just because my pictures don't look like Smashpop's. willing to trade sibling for a beagle puppy or a bunny (whom i shall name Spencer) - please leave your offers in the comment box!

It's been a crazy three weeks, loaded down with assignments, getting 3-4 hours of sleep each night...

Well yeah, i've had some pretty good times in between the madness.

Like yesterday, when we were figuring out what to write in a note to Mr. Anubhav, cracking up over some silly suggestions.

Or today, when we all gathered in McDonalds to discuss our assignment. Wrong choice of place though, the screams from the little kids drove us all nuts. But it was nice doing our work over cups of Oreo McFlurry and french fries for a change, instead of the usual library.

This morning when I was still in bed, some fucktard kept honking his horn for a good 5 minutes outside my house and jolted me out of what was otherwise a perfect dream. I hope he gets a case of insomnia tonight.

Today.

I liked today.

Half the class - us - bonded over doing our Econs assignment in under two hours - I think it's one hour, to be exact.

As Lish and I tapped away on the laptop, I took a moment to look around the class - everyone in our group was doing something. Jason, Florence, Su and Zheng were at the back of the class, figuring out and drawing the graph for our mock-business.

Patricia and Jesslyn were running around taking everyone's Student ID numbers and names and they ran off to do the front cover in a jiffy.

Dara, Yan Sin and Jessica were at the front computer, discussing Marketing Strategies.

Everyone was shouting questions to each other from one side of the room to the other. I've never seen us work so efficiently before.

For the first time in a long long while, I actually felt kind of whole.

Yes, me. Unsurprisingly.

I have come to a conclusion that I am somewhat incapable of starting on an assignment more than one day ahead of the due date. Ugh. I'm so disappointed with myself *headdesks* I kept reminding myself ever since this morning to get a headstart on my assignments that are due soon ... and i'm still reminding myself now.

As of now, I have two assignments due Monday:
(a) CD review - A Fever You Can't Sweat Out - Panic! At The Disco
(b) English oral presentation

I haven't really started on both of them yet. I forsee another night of no sleep tomorrow... only if I finish my review today...

God. English again. I swear, that woman's planning on slowly working us till we've all dropped dead. We're FOUNDATION students, not students studying for a doctorate in English, for Pete's sake.

My new header features the boys from Panic! At The Disco (again), because I couldn't find enough The Click Five and Boys Like Girls ones to make into a header. I'll start scouting for some for my next one. :)

this week's really taking a toll on me man. what with the assignments, and that Genesis event. its like all the lecturers ganged up on us and just picked this damn week to kill us or something.

Miss. Catherine's class was a bore. I came late for class, but she didn't really notice, I guess?
Somehow, most of us kept laughing non-stop for no reason at all. :P
We had to work in pairs to construct sentences out of stuff like (gosh, I forgot the name for them) "in contrast" and "in contrast to" and "while".
Geoffrey kept coming up with sentences that somehow was very funny o_o ... kept laughing for absolutely no reason at all.
All that staying awake does me no good.

I'm feeling artistic now, I guess. I just visited www.blogskins.com and somehow Manikka inspired me to start designing on the Genesis posters - so imma go do them now.

I may post something up here :) i'm feelin' creative yoh!

Zoo Negara
Last last Thursday us girls went to Zoo Negara to do some research for our Moral project.
Well, the trip was fun, though tiring - my legs were super dead when we were done.

Saw lotsa animals, some were well-kept, some weren't.

Lish, ZJ and I got lost like every ten minutes or so, but with ZJ and Lish as the navigators (i'm really bad with maps and geography - "WHICH WAY IS SOUTH?!") we managed to find our way through the zoo eventually.

It's been a crazy three weeks, loaded down with assignments, getting 3-4 hours of sleep each night...

Well yeah, i've had some pretty good times in between the madness.

Like yesterday, when we were figuring out what to write in a note to Mr. Anubhav, cracking up over some silly suggestions.

Or today, when we all gathered in McDonalds to discuss our assignment. Wrong choice of place though, the screams from the little kids drove us all nuts. But it was nice doing our work over cups of Oreo McFlurry and french fries for a change, instead of the usual library.

This morning when I was still in bed, some fucktard kept honking his horn for a good 5 minutes outside my house and jolted me out of what was otherwise a perfect dream. I hope he gets a case of insomnia tonight.

Today.

I liked today.

Half the class - us - bonded over doing our Econs assignment in under two hours - I think it's one hour, to be exact.

As Lish and I tapped away on the laptop, I took a moment to look around the class - everyone in our group was doing something. Jason, Florence, Su and Zheng were at the back of the class, figuring out and drawing the graph for our mock-business.

Patricia and Jesslyn were running around taking everyone's Student ID numbers and names and they ran off to do the front cover in a jiffy.

Dara, Yan Sin and Jessica were at the front computer, discussing Marketing Strategies.

Everyone was shouting questions to each other from one side of the room to the other. I've never seen us work so efficiently before.

For the first time in a long long while, I actually felt kind of whole.

Yay us! Cheers to team Dessert Disasters. *raises mocktail glass*

Yes, me. Unsurprisingly.

I have come to a conclusion that I am somewhat incapable of starting on an assignment more than one day ahead of the due date. Ugh. I'm so disappointed with myself *headdesks* I kept reminding myself ever since this morning to get a headstart on my assignments that are due soon ... and i'm still reminding myself now.

As of now, I have two assignments due Monday:
(a) CD review - A Fever You Can't Sweat Out - Panic! At The Disco
(b) English oral presentation

I haven't really started on both of them yet. I forsee another night of no sleep tomorrow... only if I finish my review today...

God. English again. I swear, that woman's planning on slowly working us till we've all dropped dead. We're FOUNDATION students, not students studying for a doctorate in English, for Pete's sake.

We had no water supply ever since this morning. (Or last night. Who knows.) Been using week-old water from our reserve tub for all washing duties.

I found a dead fly in the tub this morning while I was scooping out some water to wash my hands.

Anyways, yeah. I put up a new header, after like 3 months of the black-and-yellow My Chemical Romance one I got sick of staring at every time I loaded my page.

My new header features the boys from Panic! At The Disco (again), because I couldn't find enough The Click Five and Boys Like Girls ones to make into a header. I'll start scouting for some for my next one. :)

Oh. I included four Brendons because I think he looks cute in that picture.. and repetition seems to be just right for the header, don't you think?

this week's really taking a toll on me man. what with the assignments, and that Genesis event. its like all the lecturers ganged up on us and just picked this damn week to kill us or something.

i have to apologize to you guys - zhengjoo, kien, tash, nadia. i wasn't exactly helpful today. well, at least i can be honest when i do the evaluation forms. *shrugs*

I missed my bed so much last night, I almost didn't want to leave it this morning when I had to wake up for college. I only had two hours of sleep. Boo! *sulks*

Miss. Catherine's class was a bore. I came late for class, but she didn't really notice, I guess?
Somehow, most of us kept laughing non-stop for no reason at all. :P
We had to work in pairs to construct sentences out of stuff like (gosh, I forgot the name for them) "in contrast" and "in contrast to" and "while".
Geoffrey kept coming up with sentences that somehow was very funny o_o ... kept laughing for absolutely no reason at all.
All that staying awake does me no good.

I'm feeling artistic now, I guess. I just visited www.blogskins.com and somehow Manikka inspired me to start designing on the Genesis posters - so imma go do them now.

I may post something up here :) i'm feelin' creative yoh!

Zoo Negara
Last last Thursday us girls went to Zoo Negara to do some research for our Moral project.
Well, the trip was fun, though tiring - my legs were super dead when we were done.

Saw lotsa animals, some were well-kept, some weren't.

Lish, ZJ and I got lost like every ten minutes or so, but with ZJ and Lish as the navigators (i'm really bad with maps and geography - "WHICH WAY IS SOUTH?!") we managed to find our way through the zoo eventually.

Some photos were taken by me, most were taken by ZJ.

I thought they'd have this big sign with a WELCOME TO ZOO NEGARA! on it but they just had this tiny one.

We came across Deborah, the Rachels and Julia, so we traded cameras and helped each other snap group photos.

I guess my anger got the best of me.

It's hard, you know, living with an obstinate and inconsiderate ass of a little brother.
Most of the time I just wish he would just be a good little nerd and just lock himself up in his damn room and study his whole life away.

So, yeah, we went to the zoo today.
My feet are cramped - it's been a long time since I walked that long.
And due to my too-small sneakers, my right baby toe has a little blister on its side.
But it was all worth it.
I adore animals.
